Bac Kan province asked to mobilise all resources to care for national contributors

NDO – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has called on the Bac Kan provincial Party Committee, local authorities and people to mobilise all available resources to care for national contributors and the families of policy beneficiaries.

The Government official made the request at a reception, in Hanoi on July 17, for outstanding national contributors from Bac Kan province, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers Day (July 27).

Bac Kan is currently home to approximately 29,000 revolutionary contributors, including 95 Vietnamese heroic mothers and over 2,180 war martyrs.

Over the past decade, the provincial authorities have mobilised around VND 6.5 billion (US$286,000) in order to improve the livelihood of the contributors and over 1,300 houses have been built or repaired, as well as beneficiaries being presented with 695 saving books.

At the reception, Deputy PM Dam reiterated that the Party and State always remembers the dedication of national contributors and pays great attention in caring for their material and spiritual lives.

Localities have made every effort to realise policies targeting national contributors, including preferential regulations on vocational training, job creation, and credit grants.

He asked the entire political system to heighten awareness, raise responsibility and spare no effort to improve the care for those who have made significant contributions to the national cause.

He also expressed his hope that the delegates would promote the revolutionary tradition, set as a shining example for others to follow, and to make further contributions to the construction of their locality and the country in general.
