Incense offering ceremony commemorates former Deputy PM

NDO – A solemn incense offering ceremony was held on July 7, at former Deputy Prime Minister Phan Trong Tue’s memorial house in Khanh Tan village, Sai Son commune, Quoc Oai district, Hanoi, to commemorate the anniversary of his 100th birthday (July 7, 1917-2017).

Politburo members: Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh, Minister of Public Security To Lam and Secretary of Hanoi municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai, along with leaders of ministries, central and Hanoi agencies and local people, offered flowers and incense as expressions of their gratitude to a firm and loyal communist.

Former Deputy PM Phan Trong Tue sacrificed his whole life to the country’s revolutionary cause as well as to ensuring the happiness of the people.

He was trained in imperialist prison and grew up during the period of revolutionary movements, going on to become a prestigious leader of the Vietnamese Party.

The comrade was also an excellent son of the capital and the pride of his hometown thanks to his contributions to the revolutionary movements in Son Tay town, Ha Dong district, Hanoi, in the past.

Former Deputy PM Phan Trong Tue joined the revolution in the 1930s and was admitted to the Party in 1934 and was twice arrested by the French colonialists.

He was appointed to numerous important positions throughout his career, including membership of the third and fourth Party Central Committees; deputy of the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth National Assembly; Deputy Minister of Public Security, Minister of Transport and Deputy PM.
