The benchmark VN Index on the HCM Stock Exchange gained 0.94 per cent to close at 733.82 points, setting a fresh nine-year high. VNM lifts market up Phuong Thao HCMC – The local market bounced back on May 17 after two sessions of flat moving as blue chips advanced, in which VNM emerged as the biggest booster thanks to strong foreign buying. Market flat but turnover soars Phuong Thao HCMC – The local stock market moved sideways for the second straight session on May 16 but turnover surged to a one-month high due to strong cash flow into the real estate sector. With decliners slightly outnumbering advancers by 147 to 120, the VN-Index lost a marginal 0.32 point, or 0.04%, at 725.03.
