Egyptian President concludes Vietnam visit

Hanoi (VNA) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi concluded his two-day
State visit to Vietnam on September 7 with fruitful results.

Nguyen Phu Trong, held talks with President Tran Dai Quang, and had meetings
with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen

Chi Minh at his mausoleum and laid a wreath at the Heroic Martyrs’ Monument in Hanoi.

development of the traditional friendship and all-round cooperation between
Vietnam and Egypt.

the two business communities, along with continuously promoting the efficiency of the existing cooperation mechanisms such as the Intergovernmental Committee and
political consultations, thus strengthening mutual understanding.

with bolstering bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, the two sides
will create optimal conditions for businesses of both sides to access the respective markets, aiming to raise two-way trade to 1 billion USD in the future.

and Egyptian leaders agreed to beef up collaboration in the fields of standards and quality,
while increasing cultural exchange activities, including the organisation of cultural days and
weeks in the respective countries.
