“The Malaysian government continues all efforts to find a full and satisfactory explanation of the events that led to this tragedy”, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said through his social network account.
With the Joint Investigation Team’s criminal investigations ongoing, the Government hoped to receive the preliminary conclusion on the forensic research, including the type of weapons used and other pertinent details, later this year, he added.
All 298 passengers and crew died when the Boeing 777-200ER flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot down by a Russian-made Buk surface-to-air missile over eastern Ukraine on July 17th 2014./.
