The event was attended by representatives of the Malaysian and Indonesian embassies in Vietnam, as well as the leaders of the MoCST and Thai Nguyen. The programme featured nearly twenty arts performances by over 100 professional and amateur artists from Vietnam and Malaysia, leaving a good impression on audiences, such as the Zapin Budi dance of Malaysia and the trong com (cylindrical drum) dance of Vietnam.   • Vietnam Cultural Week in UAE opens

The Vietnam Cultural Week in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is co-organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in UAE and UAE’s Ministry of Culture and Knowledge from November 29th to December 5th, on the occasion of the 45th National Day of UAE. On the opening day, a Vietnamese traditional music troupe including eight artists had the first performance. Vietnamese artists will have seven performances in the different emirates of the UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Cultural cooperation between Laos and Vietnam signed The Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hoang Tuan Anh, signed an agreement on cultural art cooperation in the period of 2009-2012 with the Lao Minister of Information and Culture on Thursday, the Vietnam News Agency reports.
