First Vietnam int’l dairy exhibition opens in Hanoi

NDO – The Vietnam International Milk and Dairy Products Exhibition opened at the Cultural Palace in Hanoi on May 31, with the participation of a number of famous dairy brands from home and abroad.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Cao Quoc Hung said that the exhibition provides an attractive opportunity for enterprises who own leading brands in the milk and dairy product industry, demonstrating the high expectations enterprises and producers have on the development of the dairy industry in Vietnam.

“It is my hope that domestic and international producers, trader and distributors will actively engage in exchanges; market research; seek partnerships, joint ventures and investments to contribute to developing the milk and dairy industry, which will in turn bring benefits to Vietnamese consumers”, Hung noted.

The Vietnam International Milk and Dairy Products Exhibition is the first event of its kind held in Vietnam by the Vietnam Dairy Association and the Vietnam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition JSC (Vietfair).

With a total area encompassing approximately 4,000m2, the exhibition includes 200 booths showcasing products from famous brands, namely Vinamilk, Moc Chau, Ba Vi, Mead Johnson, Nestle, Abbott, Tetra Pak, Fonterra, among others.

Milk and dairy products, as well as additives used in the dairy industry, milk processing lines and packaging technology, machinery for dairy farming, cattle-feeding, cow breeding models, and environmental treatment technology, are among the products on display.

During the exhibition three conferences will be held to discuss topics such as sterilisation technology in milk processing, milk and community health, and the use of modern technology in cow breeding.

Chairman of the Vietnam Dairy Association Tran Quang Trung said that the event is a bridge connecting domestic and foreign enterprises within the dairy industry, which is expected to increase co-operation and investment opportunities, helping to enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of Vietnam’s dairy industry development.
