During the event, the Japanese youths stayed in five local houses in Dong Xoai commune, Binh Phuoc province. The annual Vietnamese Poetry Day will be organised as a festival with myriad activities, said Huu Thinh, President of the Vietnam Writers’ Association, on February 19. According to poet Huu Thinh, this year’s event, the 14th of its kind, will take place at Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (the Temple of Literature) on February 22 or the 15th day of the first lunar month. Poetry lovers are expected to enjoy a festive atmosphere totally different from previous Poetry Days, with a string of art performances, exchanges with authors, and exhibitions. A group of students from central Vietnam have joined hands to teach Vietnamese in the neighboring country of Laos and helped cement the friendship between the two nations.
