Fishing ship in distress saved

​The newly built steel-made fishing ship has been handed over to Quang Ngai fishermen, which is the largest one so far in the province. ​The ship was built by Bach Dang Shipyard in Hai Phong city at a total cost of nearly 14 billion dong sourced from loan under the Decree No 67 and provided by the Vietcombank, branch in Quang Ngai province. Binh Dinh (VNA) - The People's Committee of Hoai Nhon district, the central province of Binh Dinh on February 14 received eight fishing ships with steel cover at a ceremony which saw the participation of more than 200 local seamen. The move comes in response to Government's Decree No 67/2014/NĐ-CP on off-shore fishing development policies. PANO – On April 7th, Flotilla 2 of the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command released six Chinese fishing ships which had illegally fished in Vietnam’s territorial waters. Viet Nam News BÀ RỊA-VŨNG TÀU - The Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Co-ordination Centre No 3 in Vũng Tàu City on Friday assigned a ship and some doctors to rush to the scene and provide first aid to 11 seamen who had met with an accident at sea. PANO - The Hai Minh Company, under the Defence Ministry, successfully launched a tuna fishing ship, named Seas 16, on August 22 nd in Ho Chi Minh City, after a year of building. At 90 meters long, 14.5 meters wide, a capacity of 5,000 tonnes and modern equipment and advanced technologies, Seas 16 is considered the most modern tuna fishing boat in the world. A fleet of 30 fishing ships came to a fishing ground belonging to Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago on July 15 after setting out to sea 78 hours from the island province of Hainan. The Xinhua News Agency quoted sailors as saying that the ever-biggest fleet including a 3,000 tonne supply ship and 29 ships with a tonnage of more than 140 each will fish there for five to ten days. Six Vietnamese crew members aboard a Korean fishing ship have remained nowhere to be found since the vessel sank and lost contact with the mainland last month. Vietnam News Agency reported. The ship lost contact with the fisheries information control center in Pohang City, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea at around 9:30 pm on February 29, after leaving Chuksan Port.
