Politburo discusses reconstruction of public administrative units

CPV- International experts joined government and donor representatives in Hanoi on November 24 to critically discuss how to change the culture of the civil service, modernize public management and introduce anti-corruption and e-government into Vietnam's Public Administration Reform (PAR) efforts, and most importantly, how to keep pace with economic development. Hanoi (VNA) – A recent survey has found that people in 10 selected Vietnamese provinces and cities are generally satisfied with local public administration services. The survey was conducted from September 29 to October 13, 2015 to calculate the Satisfaction Index of Public Administration Services. It measures people’s satisfaction with six administration services: the granting of identification cards, land use certificates, house building permits, marriage certificates, birth certificates and the certification process. Mong Cai city is one of the first three localities of Quang Ninh province to put public administrative centres into operation in 2013. After a period of preparing material facilities and human resources, the public administrative centre of Mong Cai city is ready to go into operation. This was the second of its kind nationwide, after the first pilot one in the northern province of Quang Ninh. Chairman of Quang Nam People’s Committee Dinh Van Thu stressed that this was a model which connects three functions in an organ including settlement of administrative procedures for organizations and individuals; trade promotion; and business supporting.
