Deputy PM Minh hailed the expanded Vietnam – Cuba special solidarity and cooperation across politics, economics-trade, defence-security, and external diplomacy. Despite numerous difficulties, Vietnam is always ready support Cuba in its national development and efforts to deal with the consequences of recent disasters, Minh told his guest. He suggested both sides should elevate economics and trade ties to be on a par with their political relations and congratulated Cuba on its 59th Revolution Day (January 1). Lianys Torres Rivera, in turn showed her delight at her working tenure in Vietnam and pledged her great efforts to deepening the bilateral relations in the future. The Cuban diplomat also thanked the Vietnamese Party, Government and people for their valuable support for her nation.
At the reception, both sides highlighted the fact that Vietnam and Cuba have bonded over special relations laid by President Ho Chi Minh and the late Cuban leader Fidel Castro which has been nurtured by generations of leaders and people from both nations.
