Through the agreement, Myanmar wanted to boostmutual defence cooperation, dialogues, policy understanding relating toregional and international security issues.Prior to thesigning ceremony, military officials from the sides discussed the increase ofvisit exchanges and joint works in training and technological development. Russia andMyanmar established diplomatic relations in 1948. Myanmar is the first stop in SergeiShoigu’s 3-day visit to the Southeast Asian region.-VNA
