Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, also Chairwoman of the NFVC, said the fund has raised 5.5 trillion VND (247.5 million USD) over the past 25 years to support more than 33 million children with free health check-ups, medicines and heart, eye and cleft palate surgery. In 2017, domestic and foreign organizations, individuals, enterprises and benefactors contributed more than 210 billion VND (9.2 million USD) to the fund to help some 200,000 children, she added.
