As many as 10,954 enterprises were formed in April with total registered capital of 62.2 trillion VND (over 2.7 billion USD), according to the General Statistics Office (GSO). The number of newly-established businesses increased by 19.2 percent year-on-year, while the total amount of registered capital jumped 21.3 percent against the same period last year. The Business Registration Agency reported that 126,859 new firms were established in 2017, an increase of 15.2% compared to the previous year and the highest recorded yet. Overall, these enterprises are expected to add around 102,400 new employees to their payrolls, up 16.4% over the same period last year, said the BRMA. NDO – Over 61,200 enterprises were formed nationwide in the first six months of the year, with a total registered capital of VND596 trillion, up 12.4% in the number of new businesses, with capital up 39.4%, compared with the same period of 2016. The total capital supplemented in the first six months of 2017 reached VND 1,455 trillion.
The figures were announced by the Business Registration Management Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
