Covering nearly 10,600 hectares in Thanh Cong, Quang Thanh, Phan Thanh and Hung Dao communes and Tinh Tuc town of Nguyen Binh district, the park aims to safeguard 90 species of flora and 50 species of rare and precious fauna as well as protect cultural values, natural landscapes and ecological environment. A corner of Phia Oac-Phia Den National Park Also, natural forests will be recovered and more trees will be planted to increase forest coverage from 84 percent in 2016 to 95 percent in 2030 and provide natural habitat for animals and plants. The park is designated to ensure environmental security and mitigate land erosion and floods, thus helping to stabilize production and improve livelihoods of local people in downstream regions. Scientific research and activities will be held to preserve and develop endangered genetic sources, rescue wildlife animals and raise public awareness of the protection of environment and biodiversity.
