With diversified terrain, the central coastal province of Phu Yen has favourable conditions to develop farm produce. In light of agricultural restructuring, the province has developed specialised farming zones planting sugarcane, cassava, rubber and pepper, along with building processing factories, in a bid to create a supply chain raising products’ values. In 2001, Indian-invested KCP Vietnam Company Ltd. built a 42 million USD factory in the mountainous district of Son Hoa, with daily capacity of 2,500 tonnes of sugar. To date, the company has built one more factory in Đồng Xuân district, helping raise total capacity to 10,000 tonnes per day. In the morning of August 21st, at Phu Yen Cultural Labor House effervescently and excitedly commenced the 19th Traditional Phu Yen newspaper open cross-country marathon. The central coastal province of Phu Yen has to date received 36 foreign-invested projects with a total investment of nearly 4.5 billion USD. The People's Committee of the central province of Phu Yen on Feb. 19 held dialogue with almost 100 domestic and foreign investors in the province.
