The forum is held by the Central Party Committee’s Economic Commission in collaboration with ministries, branches, and institutes. At the forum, policy-makers and representatives of ministries and related agencies, the academia and experts, as well as private sector stakeholders and international organisations will discuss Vietnam’s economic situation this year and prospects in the years ahead. They will also identify economic obstacles and raise solutions for sustainable economic development. Discussions at the forum will also provide solutions to implement Resolution No.01/NQ-CP on major tasks and solutions guiding the implementation of the 2018 socioeconomic development plan and the state budget estimate. The economic conference with the theme of “Vietnam’s economy 2017 and prospects for 2018—Towards fast and sustainable development” will take place in the morning of January 11, 2018. The 2nd Vietnam Economic Forum will be organized in Hanoi September 19-20 to discuss policies to help Vietnam overcome difficulties caused by the global economic slowdown and keep a long-term and sustainable growth.
