The VFF leader told his guest that under the leadership of the Cambodian parliament and government with the Cambodian People’s Party, Cambodia will continue to grow and flourish with improved regional and international profile. He thanked the Cambodian army and guard force for their close ties with the Vietnamese ministries of national defence and public security to serve the cause of national defence and security. Man also expressed gratitude to the Cambodian people and authorities for giving support to Cambodian people of Vietnamese origin living in the country. He asked the Cambodian Party, government and people to continue assisting Vietnam in the search and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese fallen soldiers and the maintenance of monuments dedicated to bilateral friendship in Cambodia. Dieng Sarun, in turn, highlighted exchange visits on the occasion of Vietnam’s traditional Lunar New Year as a good tradition, which he said, will continue to be reinforced by later generations of both sides.
A delegation from the Cambodian Royal Army led by General Dieng Sarun, Deputy Chief of Staff of High Command of Guards, paid a Tet visit to the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang on February 11. The Vietnam People’s Army and the Royal Cambodian Army will strengthen their cooperation in visit exchanges, training, border management and security, and the location and repatriation of Vietnamese martyrs’ remains.
