Ambassador seeks stronger relations between Hanoi and Kiev

At the meeting (Photo:   Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine NguyenAnh Tuan has had a meeting with Governor of Kiev Vitaliy Klitschko, duringwhich both sides shared hope for closer partnership between Ukraine’s capitalcity and Vietnamese localities, especially Hanoi.The two sides briefed each other on the political, socio-economic and cultural development of the two countries, as well as the history andsocio-economic achievements of the two capital cities.Both Hanoi and Kiev are old cities with long history and plentiful landscapes. All ofthem have been recognised as cities for peace.Ambassador Tuan thanked Kiev authorities for supporting andcreating favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community in the city to settledown and make contributions to Kiev’s growth as well as the Vietnam-Ukrainerelations.He said he hopes Kiev will continue backing Vietnameseenterprises in the city, including the InternationalTrade Promotion Center “RAINBOW” and the 251 High School namedafter President Ho Chi Minh, which he described as a symbol of theVietnam-Ukraine friendship.The diplomat took the occasion to invite the Kiev leader toattend a Vietnamese concert in Kiev in mid-June and the Vietnamese Culture Dayin Lvov city in July. He also expressed his wish that the Kiev Governor will visitVietnam and Hanoi soon.-VNA
