At the signing ceremony Addressing the signing ceremony, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The emphasized the important significance of transport projects towards sustainably economic development in the country. He added that the signed program would help provide Vietnam with a flexible capital source to ensure the best quality of the projects. In his speech, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Craig Chittick said that the program marked a new stage in Australia’s assistance program. The Australian Ambassador underscored that Australia wanted to work with Vietnam to ensure its projects attract international finance and to implement them faster and that it was a vivid evidence of Australia’s economic partnership with Vietnam. Under the signed agreement, Australia will provide capital and other resources for new transport projects in Vietnam, from the concept stage to the start of construction. The program, running from 2018 to 2022, will develop five major road projects in Vietnam. PANO – An agreement, signed by Tran Xuan Ha, Vice-Minister of Finance, and Jean-François Girault, French Ambassador to Vietnam, for the French Development Agency (AFD), on March 29th in Hanoi, is to give €100 million in loan to Vietnam for the "Public Investment Reform” program. An agreement to this effect was signed in Hanoi on December 13 by representatives of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), the French Development Agency (Agence Française de Developpement, AFD), and the French embassy in Vietnam. The fund will be used to complete the legal framework for micro-finance and increase the management and inspection capacity of Vietnam’s micro-finance sector. PANO- CPA Australia has just granted 6 scholarships worth VND 300 million to excellent students in the international accounting masters programme at Swinburne University in Vietnam.
