The Lao press has run a series of stories on the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and its help to Laos’ struggle for national independence on the occasion of the VPA’s founding anniversary (December 22, 1944 - 2014). The ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) held a meeting in Phnom Penh on June 28 to mark its 60th founding anniversary (June 28).
