Military units continue tree-planting activities

This year, the Chemical Corps planned to plant and take care of over 22,000 trees of different kinds as well as embellish the barracks. Military units actively respond to tree-planting festival. (Photo for illustration) After the launching ceremony at the Ninh Binh provincial Border Guard Command, troops planted around 1,000 trees of different kinds. Meanwhile, troops of the Yen Bai provincial Military Command and its agencies and units planted 10,000 trees in Nguyen Thai Hoc ward of Yen Bai city. Staff of agencies and units in the province completed a plan to plant more than 14,000 trees of different kinds. In response to the national tree-planting festival, agencies and units of the Signal Corps launched their activities. Since the beginning of this year, the Corps has planted more than 6,000 fruit, timber and ornamental trees. Naval Region 3 of the Vietnam People’s Navy also kicked off their tree-planting activities. After the launching ceremony, units in the whole region planted more than 5,000 fruit and shade trees, pruned and tended existing trees and mowed grass in their barracks. Translated by Chung Anh
