National flags given to fishery trade union of Tan Phuoc commune At the event, General Nghia expressed the pleasure at the effective operation of fishery trade unions in Go Cong Dong. Over the past time, they have cooperated with border guard and coast guard forces and local authorities and organizations in uniting fishermen and holding activities for fishermen to share experiences in fishing and in dealing with situations at sea. These activities have helped fishermen embrace the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies and laws, Vietnam and international law of the sea and mobilize their active participation in protecting security and national sovereignty over seas and islands. As many as 300 national flags were presented to fishermen in Tam Thanh, Ngu Phung and Long Hai communes in Phu Quy island, the central province of Binh Thuan on March 12, aiming to encourage local people to protect national sovereignty. PANO - Some 2,000 local youths of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union Organisation have participated in the event "Environmental protection and presenting flags to Truong Sa (Spratly) fishermen". After the opening ceremony on March 3rd in Nha Trang city, local youths started to clean up the environment of the city, especially along the beach. During their adventure, Vietnam’s National Flag was flying amid the vast Arctic waste at 4:35 (Moscow time) on April 4. Vice Chairman of the Association of War Veterans from the Russian Security Agency Nikolai Kaliakin presented a certificate marking the event, the National Flag and a selection of photos of the flag to the Vietnamese Ambassador in Russia, Bui Dinh Dinh.
