One person was killed and six others injured following a collision on Sunday involving multiple vehicles in southern Vietnam. The accident happened at around 6:00 pm on a section of National Highway 20 in Dinh Quan District, Dong Nai Province. The bus steered by 52-year-old Bui Quang Ha was traveling on the road when it hit a seven-seater car running in the same direction. The impact pushed the bus toward the left side of the highway, causing it to crash into a long-haul bus of Futa Buslines that was carrying 40 passengers in the opposite direction. The Futa bus lost control, went off the street, and only stopped after ramming a rubber tree at a nearby plantation. Meanwhile, the seven-seater was pushed toward the front and collided with a motorcycle ridden by 58-year-old Pham Van Truong. Truong was killed instantly, while the drivers of the bus and Futa coach as well as four passengers were severely wounded and later hospitalized for emergency treatment. Following the accident, the bus was heavily damaged, while the long-haul bus had its front distorted. The seven-seater car, also suffering some damage, was located about 100 meters from the first point of impact. Investigation is ongoing.
