Illustrative image (Source: VNA) Bac Giang (VNA) – Samsung Electronics Vietnam hasfunded the construction of standard toilets completed with water purification systemsfor 26 elementary and secondary schools in the northern province of Bac Giang,benefiting more than 13,100 students. The facilities were handed over to the beneficiary schoolsin a ceremony at Le Hong Phong primary school in Bac Giang city on February 7. The project was implemented from October 2017 in 8 local districtsat a total cost of over 6 billion VND (264,600 USD). Speaking at the ceremony, General Director of SamsungElectronics Vietnam Shin Won-hwan said the project aims to create a clean andsafe environment for students, ensuring the best conditions for them to grow. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lai ThanhSon said the project helps raise awareness of students, parents and teachersabout good hygienic habits. Japanese electronics manufacturer Sanyo will break ground for an electronic component factory at the Quang Chau Industrial Zone in northern Bac Giang province on September 5. The Sanyo-HQ Vietnam Electronic Component Co. Ltd said the 60,000sq.m factory will be built at an initial cost of 95 million USD and is scheduled for completion in 2010. Japanese manufacturer Sanyo will pour 40 million USD into an electronic optical transmission components plant in Vietnam 's northern Bac Giang province. Sanyo on May 9 signed an agreement with the Saigon-Bac Giang Industrial Zone Company of Vietnam to build the plant at the company's Quang Chau Industrial Zone. The plant construction will begin in June and it is expected to turn out products by early 2009. HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Samsung Display Company, Ltd will construct a US$1-billion plant in the Yen Phong Industrial Zone in the northern province of Bac Ninh.Nguyen Tien Nhuong, deputy chairman of the province's People's Committee, confirmed the report published in the Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper. HCM City, June 6 (VNA)- The Republic of Korea's Samsung Group will invest over 1 billion USD in the construction of an electronics production factory in Ho Chi Minh City' Saigon Hi-tech Park. According to the Bac Ninh provincial Department of Planning and Investment, the added capital will be invested in another plant with special incentives. Samsung will continue to pay a preferential tax of 10 percent for 30 years, with corporate income tax exemptions for the first four years and tax reductions for the next five years.
