Results and impressions of Vietnam tourism in 2017 In 2017, Vietnam tourism welcomed more than 12.9 million international visitors, up by 30 percent compared with 2016, and served 74 million domestic passengers, an increase of 19 percent in comparison to the figure last year. Revenue from the sector reached VND 510,000 billion, up by 22 percent compared to the same period last year. The number of foreign tourists to Vietnam in 2017 broke two records in 2016 and made two new records as the highest number of visitors and the highest level of the absolute increase during the year (3 million). The absolute increase of 3 million visitors was also the highest figure of the ASEAN countries in 2017. CPV: Vietnam tourism sector will grow aggressively in 2007 with a annual growth rate of 10 percent , said a general survey about Vietnam tourism prospect by Globalysis Ltd (the US).
