Founded by the five major card brands-VISA, Master Card, American Express, Discover Financial Services, and JCB International-PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is the global data security standard for all entities that process, store or transmit cardholder data and sensitive authentication data. To attain this certification, enterprises are required to satisfy 12 high level system requirements, including data processing, intrusion control, and information security policies, among others, to ensure payment information is secured when processed, stored or transmitted by organisations that handle these credit cards. On 11 May, Intel Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications on cooperation in building a test model of a green data centre in Da Nang.
