The tasks included repairing and replacing generators, wires and solar batteries; and building a base transceiver stations (BTS). Viettel also transported more than 20 tons of materials to 11 islands. The recent typhoon caused great damages to the infrastructure of the telecommunication network in Truong Sa islands and the DK1 platforms. Tourists will soon be able to set foot on the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago in the East Vietnam Sea, with a pilot tour package scheduled to sail to the Vietnamese islands later this month. A Tuoi Tre correspondent has recently had a chance to fly over Truong Sa Lon island, part of Vietnam's Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, on a seaplane to capture panoramic views from the air.
